Attorney General William Barr finally came forward. He just issued an official announcement, and people are stunned. He has confirmed the worst.
“The shooting carried out by a Saudi aviation student at Naval Air Station Pensacola in December was an ‘act of terrorism,'” reported Fox News, quoting a statement from Barr.
Barr continued by explaining that the student was “motivated by jihadist ideology.” Leading up to the attack, he even posted terror-inspired messages, such as “the countdown has begun” on Sept. 11, 2019.
The student, Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, who was a 2nd lieutenant in the Saudi Royal Air Force, was shot and killed by a police officer during the attack, but not before he killed three U.S. sailors.
Alshamrani was training with the U.S. military at Naval Air Station Pensacola, among other facilities. Twenty-one other Saudi nationals are now in the process of being expelled from the country.
Barr noted that most of the 21 Saudi cadets “had some kind of contact with child pornography” and posted messages on social media with “some jihad or anti-American content.”
