Charges just dropped against Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is stunned. Her right-hand man in the Democrats’ anti-Trump witch-hunt could be about to go down.
Schiff’s Republican challenger, Jon Hollis, has filed an ethics complaint against the congressman alleging “illegal collusion with foreign entities and misuse of taxpayer resources for opposition research on political enemies.”
The complaint was lodged with the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), and it goes further than anyone could have imagined. “The evidence supporting Adam’s Schiff’s violations of the law is compelling and irrefutable,” it continued.
Hollis noted that Schiff’s phone call with who he thought was Ukrainian politician Andriy Parubiy — but it was, in fact, two Russian comedians named Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov prank-calling him — is the smoking gun.
On the call, Schiff expressed his desire to obtain “compromising material” on President Trump and that he would “be in touch with the FBI” to coordinate on the search. Hollis has called foul on this request.
“Rep. Schiff knows he should not be trying to obtain opposition research on a political opponent from foreign nationals,” said Hollis. He also pointed out that the FBI should not be involved in Schiff’s “corrupt attempt” to go after Trump.
