West Virginia’s “Save Women’s Sports Bill” was supposed to keep the integrity of girls’ sports intact, giving ladies the chances at participation and scholarships that they deserve.
Bill Clinton-appointed Judge Joseph Goodwin apparently doesn’t agree with these ideas.
Recently, Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia issued a take-down of the bill and ordered a middle school to allow male student Becky Pepper-Jackson to try out for a girl’s middle school cross-country team.
The law, which says that students will compete only on school sports teams that correspond with their biological sex, was called a “malignant harm” to transgender people by Judge Goodwin.
Goodwin did not speak on how allowing biological males to take roster and scholarship slots within womens’ sports would impact females in the future.
