Fox News personality Juan Williams just made a stunning career decision, further complicating his standing at the network. He’s done and there’s nothing he can do about it.
In an op-ed for The Hill, Williams had the audacity to call President Trump’s entire presidency into question. Ranting about the Mueller report with Democratic talking points, he called Trump “illegitimate” more than once.
Williams wrote “there is no way to save the Trump presidency from being tainted by the cloud of illegitimacy,” and also said that “Trump is afraid of the truth … because it opens the door for Americans to see him as an illegitimate president.”
Of course, he uses the typical rhetoric we’ve come to expect from Democrats and the mainstream media to build his paper-thin ‘case’ against Trump. Newsflash, Juan: Don’t bring up Mueller if you want to be taken seriously.
Williams muddies the waters by essentially conflating Russia’s social media efforts and hacking attempts with Trump’s campaign directly participating in those activities.
He claimed that Mueller “found numerous contacts between Russia and the Trump camp” as well, as if that’s some kind of silver bullet to prove any kind of ‘collusion’. Williams needs to hang it up and go to CNN.
