I would expect something like this if independents and/or conservatives were included in the survey, but this was the response given by a group of ONLY Democrats.
The survey asked: “Who do you want to see run for president on the Democratic ticket in 2024?”
Joe Biden’s name was mentioned in just 37% of responses. Kamala Harris received 16% of the tally.
When you zoom out and include all respondents, Biden performs even worse, polling at just 22%. Kamala falls to 12% when you include all responses.
Referring to independents only, 37% of them are undecided as to who they want to see run on the Democrat ticket. By comparison, only 8% of independents said they’d like to see Biden on the ticket.
Even Kamala Harris polled better among independents, with 10% of them saying they’d like to see Kamala the at the top of the Democratic Party in 2024.
