As a tool of the DC establishment, then-FBI Director James Comey tried desperately to intimidate President Trump and the entire Trump family. It’s no surprise, then, that the weekend’s major news made him snap.
In a bizarre tweet, Comey can be seen in a photo amidst tall trees and looking up at the sky. “So many questions,” he wrote, clearly referring to Mueller’s investigation coming to an end without any ‘collusion’ with Russia being found.
The photo itself is quite telling. Comey fancies himself a hero and intellectual, which is why he’s showing himself standing firm as if to say, “I believed Trump was guilty. How could this happen?” It’s almost like he’s questioning God Himself here.
He also might not realize the amusing irony of standing in the middle of trees and gazing upward. The age-old expression “can’t see the forest for the trees” immediately comes to mind, and it certainly applies to someone like Comey.
More than anything, he is just attention-seeking and trying to get people to talk about him. Those who bought into the absurd Trump-Russia narrative are going to see Comey’s statement as a sign that maybe he knows something else juicy.
But he’s just a self-important DC bureaucrat, and it’s killing him that he looks even more foolish than before. President Trump’s words must be ringing in his ears: “No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!”
