President Trump has ordered the declassification of documents related to the investigation of his campaign. Appearing on Fox News, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said this means “Comey, Clapper
Rep. Gaetz noted that Trump granting “the attorney general such sweeping authority to be able to compel the production of evidence from the intelligence community” shows it’s about more than just FBI “misconduct.”
“I believe there was evidence that was withheld from the FISA courts,” said Gaetz, referring to the allegation that officials ignored testimony from the Trump campaign that would’ve made it more difficult to get a warrant.
John Solomon, an investigative journalist with The Hill, also appeared on Fox News and revealed to Sean Hannity that the first batch of declassified documents
“I’ve confirmed that sometime within the next seven to eight days, the President will declassify the first of many documents,” said Solomon, which will include “statements that the FBI possessed about its targets before it went to the FISA Court.”
