Former Director of National Intelligence James could be in big trouble. Charges against the anti-Trump operative might be just around the corner. It is finally happening.
According to reports, Attorney General William Barr has approved an expansion of the investigation into the Trump-Russia witch-hunt to include Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan.
United States Attorney John Durham, who is leading the probe for Barr, has expressed “his intent to interview a number of current and former intelligence officials involved in examining Russia’s effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.”
This would include “former CIA Director John Brennan and former director of national intelligence James Clapper,” reported Guy Benson with Townhall, quoting an NBC News story.
In a major break from impartiality and decorum, both Clapper and Brennan have been outspoken critics of President Trump since leaving their respective posts — and it is coming back to haunt them.
Americans want to know how involved the former intelligence officials were in establishing and carrying out the witch-hunt against Trump, an effort that started in 2016 before Trump even became president.
