Former First Lady Michelle Obama is jumping in. It was just made official and millions of people across the nation are stunned. No one expected her to emerge like this, but it has happened mere months before the election.
“We’ve only got 100 days left, and we’ve got to direct every ounce of energy we have into making sure everyone we know understands the importance of their voice and their vote,” said Obama in a video encouraging Americans to register to vote. It appears Democrats are desperate.
And who can blame them? We are less than 100 days from the election and Trump’s opponents haven’t made the dent in his re-election prospects that they expected. Perhaps it is because a growing number of people have caught on to their self-serving games.
During Obama’s video, she also talked about how “this election could not be more important for the future of our country,” which is something most politicians and insiders say when they are scared of losing and trying to motivate voters. In this case, Obama is going to have to try harder.
A large swath of the Democratic Party’s base — specifically those who supported Senator Bernie Sanders — are not excited about former Vice President Joe Biden’s candidacy. Many of them might not even vote, and they sure aren’t going to register anyone to vote for that matter.
Oher big names starred in videos to push voter registration as well. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwynyth Paltrow — who both appeared in several Marvel movies together — posted a message to Instagram. “I have to convince you to vote, and all friends need to convince their friends to vote,” said Paltrow.
