A majority of New Mexico voters are planning to replace Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham in her race for reelection this year, according to a recent internal polling memo.
The memo, which was provided to Breitbart, showed that 52% of poll respondents wanted somebody OTHER than Grisham to be governor, compared to just 39% who would like to see her back. Nine percent of those polled were undecided.
In some good news for Republicans, it was revealed that not one, but three GOP candidates have a very real chance at unseating Grisham. Army veteran Greg Zanetti, meteorologist Mark Ronchetti, and State Representative Rebecca Dow are all within 6.5 percentage points of Grisham.
Those numbers come from an “uninformed poll” though, and the numbers look quite different when people are provided info about the candidates.
Zanetti is the frontrunner in those polls, holding a 3% lead over Grisham in the race to become the next governor of New Mexico.
