Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) isn’t like most liberal Democrats, who are bad enough. She is a step beyond Nancy Pelosi and even Barack Obama — and she just made a sickening terrorist confession. She needs to resign immediately.
Speaking at a meeting of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a radical, Jihad-excusing organization at its core, Rep. Omar flippantly referred to the evil men who carried out 9/11 as “some people who did something.”
That’s right. Instead of rightly identifying 9/11 as a dark moment in American history where thousands were murdered in cold blood by terrorists, she had the audacity to essentially minimize the tragedy.
She was addressing the founding of CAIR, which came into being shortly following the 9/11 attacks, “because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
So, not only did Omar express that 9/11 was but a small, nearly insignificant event in our history, she then played the victim card about an alleged loss of civil liberties for her community. One congressman and veteran didn’t let her comments slide.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas, a former Navy SEAL, tweeted: “First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something.’ Unbelievable.”
