Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is in full-panic mode. She just rushed to cover up a huge mistake, but it didn’t work. She’s done.
Proving that Omar doesn’t know when to stop talking, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took her to task for a now-deleted tweet criticizing President Trump’s merit-based immigration plan.
Omar said that Trump’s plan “is fueled by racism toward the Latinx community” and “shouldn’t be based on discrimination, fear, or bigotry.” She also said we need a “simple pathway to citizenship.”
Cruz let loose on Twitter and exposed Omar’s cover-up and wrong-headed thinking, saying that “as the son of a Cuban immigrant” he was “troubled” by her statement.
Cruz noted that his “Dad came to get a math degree & become a computer programmer,” so he is “troubled that Dems seem to believe Hispanic immigrants can’t qualify for skills-based legal immigration.”
“Bringing in more scientists, engineers & doctors is good for US jobs,” he concluded, in what could only be considered a ‘mic drop’ moment. Don’t mess with Ted.
