The son of Frances Haros, who died in the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center, blasted Rep. Ilhan Omar in remarks he made at a remembrance for the 18th anniversary of the event, the New York Post reported.
Nicholas Haros, Jr. wore a t-shirt with a quote from a speech Omar gave in which she said, “Some people did something” and went on to describe how Muslims began to “lose their civil liberties” after the attack.
“Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion?” Haros said. “On that day, 19 Islamic terrorist members of al Qaeda killed over 3,000 people and caused billions of dollars of economic damage. Is that clear?”
“I was attacked, your relatives and friends were attacked, our constitutional freedoms were attacked and our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles were attacked. That’s what some people did,” he continued.
“Got that now?”
