Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) recently accused Republicans of trying to “eliminate the public voice of Muslims form the public discourse.”
Her evidence: They called out a Muslim congresswoman for making a false statement.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) was skewered by Republicans for claiming the Palestinian Arabs provided a safe place for Jews after the Holocaust.
Unfortunately for Tlaib, history books exist, and those books record the uncomfortable matter of Palestinian Arabs colluding with Nazi Germany to exterminate the Jews.
But when it comes to criticism of her fellow Muslim in Congress, Omar doesn’t care about the facts.
“I tell my sister, Rashida Tlaib, that her and I have the strength to endure any of the mischaracterization or efforts to distort and villify and mischaracterize our message,” she said.
