Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been busted. Police just released the details, and you won’t believe what they said about her. She can’t escape accountability this time.
Speaking to students at a local school, Omar claimed that she witnessed an “African American lady” get arrested and fined $80 for stealing bread to feed her “starving 5-year-old granddaughter,” but city police have confirmed this wasn’t possible.
“City officials said that police aren’t allowed to arrest people for shoplifting unless there’s a likelihood of violence or further crime. Typically, shoplifters are sentenced to attend a three-hour class,” wrote journalists Greg Jaffe and Souad Mekhennet.
Shockingly, their article appeared in the Washington Post — a publication that has long given cover to Democrats. But the evidence was so overwhelming, they couldn’t even ignore this one.
When confronted about her story, Omar admitted that the woman in court “might have had a prior [arrest]. I’m not sure…The details might not have all matched, but that’s what I remember.” This is unreal.
Instead of telling the truth, she chose to completely embellish a story to a group of impressionable high school students. For Omar, it isn’t about being honest — it’s about pushing a false narrative that America is an unjust and racist place.
