Former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, just broke his silence on national television. Washington has been rocked by his interview with ABC News.
Sitting down with anchor Amy Robach, Biden was asked why he left the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy firm, in April. “I think it’s pretty obvious why,” answered Biden.
Of course, then went on to blame others for his troubles. “I regret not taking into account that would be a Rudy Guiliani and a president of the United States that would be listening to this ridiculous conspiracy idea,” said Biden.
He also said that he was serving a five-year term and chose not to serve another term because of the “distraction” this has caused. “Because I have to sit here and answer these questions.”
One thing is for certain: Hunter has certainly studied at the Clinton, Obama, and Biden School of Political Rhetoric. It is a classic tactic of liberal politicians to talk without saying much of anything substantive.
Biden also said that the claims against him have been “completely debunked by everyone,” but he also admitted that he may have made a mistake “in the grand scheme of things” to sit on the board.
