Hillary Clinton refuses to stay out of the spotlight. She just returned to politics and made a shocking announcement. The DC swamp loves it.
In response to the horrific shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas, the former presidential candidate wasted no time politicizing the tragedies. She has demanded that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the GOP pass gun control.
“With two mass shootings in America in less than 24 hours, thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need action,” she tweeted, disparaging prayer like all Democrats do now.
Clinton continued: “The House has sent common-sense gun safety legislation to the Senate. Demand that @senatemajldr and your Republican elected officials join Democrats to pass it.” She tagged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the tweet.
McConnell, who fractured his shoulder over the weekend, has not responded to Clinton’s demand. He is currently recovering from his injury and is expected to be okay.
The legislation that Clinton is referring to — which was passed shortly after Democrats took control of the House — would require universal background checks on all gun purchases.
