A top Democrat just passed away suddenly. His family, friends, and colleagues are in mourning.
According to reports, former New York City Councilman Lew Fidler, who served from 2002-2013, was discovered unresponsive and later declared dead at a local hospital.
Cause of death is not immediately known, however, Fidler was reportedly in a movie theater at the time and found unconscious. His medical history shows he underwent a kidney transplant in 2014.

City Council Speaker Corey Johnson said, “There are literally thousands, if not tens of thousands, of runaway/homeless youth in NYC whose lives have been hugely changed because of Lew Fidler.”
Reeves Eisen, his former chief of staff, revealed that he even though “he never quite made it the presidency, but he was really, really happy with the work he was able to do.”
