Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke just made a shocking decision. The struggling presidential candidate is turning heads — it’s over now. There’s no turning back.
At a recent campaign rally, O’Rourke’s campaign Breitbart News reporter Joel Pollak forcibly removed even though he had press credentials and had covered previous events without incident. So much for liberals supporting free speech.
O’Rourke’s campaign attempted to justify ousting Pollak by making spurious accusations. Aleigha Cavalier, the campaign’s national press secretary, said that the news outlet “walks the line between being news and a perpetrator of hate speech.”
Yes, Cavalier went on to claim that Breitbart News is racist — a predictable claim by liberals who have nothing better to say and can’t win any arguments. However, Breitbart shot back with a statement of their own.
“The false accusation that Breitbart is racist, or that its award-winning reporter — an Orthodox Jew, married to a black woman who serves in the military — is either racist or would make anyone at a black university uncomfortable is absurd,” said the statement.
O’Rourke’s campaign claimed that Pollak was kicked out for his “previous hateful reporting the sensitivity of the topics being discussed with students” at a historically black college, but Pollak said he’s been reporting without “any disruption whatsoever.”
