Elon Musk, like many Americans, is abandoning California.
The CEO of Tesla has announced the car company is moving its headquarters from Palo Alto, California, to Austin, Texas.
Musk actually announced the news while in Texas, outside of his vehicle assembly plant in Austin.
Elon Musk attributed the move to how hard it is to get the finances to work properly in liberal-controlled California.
“It’s tough for people to afford houses, and people have to come in from far away….There’s a limit to how big you can scale in the Bay Area”
Domenic Romano of Romano Law in New York City offered this perspective on why so many business are moving: “From a legal perspective, there’s less of a regulatory burden in Texas. It’s a more business- and employer-friendly state in many ways. You have to jump through far fewer hoops in Texas or Florida as an employer than you do in California in terms of reporting requirements and more.”
So republican states are better for business than liberal states. Just like everything else. Noted.
