Brian Williams has been with NBC News for 28 years. Soon, he won’t be.
Various reports suggest that Williams’ contract was up at the end of the year, and would have had to take a “big pay cut” in order to spend with the network. Williams decided against it, feeling “underappreciated.”
The past 28 years at NBC have been pretty eventful for Williams, who is now 62.
Perhaps the most noteworthy event of his tenure was when he was exposed as a serial liar who constantly embellished his reporting. He did this to either make news more interesting or himself seem like a hero for venturing in to danger which was nothing but a green screen in reality.
After learning of his ethics, NBC didn’t feel the need to cut ties with a journalist nobody could trust, but still suspended him and moved him to a more minor network (MSNBC) at 11 p.m. instead of anchoring the nightly NBC world news.
Goodbye, Brian Williams. And good riddance.
