Fox News star and loyal Trump supporter, Sean Hannity, has had enough of the nonsense. He just came forward to hold the powerful accountable.
According to a report on the inner-workings of Fox News, “Hannity is angry at the Murdochs’ firing of Ailes and Bill Shine.” Furthermore, Hannity believes that “the Murdochs are out to get Trump.” Simply put, one of their top stars is fed up.
The report, written by Gabriel Sherman for Vanity Fair, also has sources from inside the news company claiming that many reporters “are telling management that we’re being defined by the worst people on our air.”
It can only be assumed that these reporters are talking about a talent like Hannity, who has remained steadfast in his conviction that President Trump must be supported. He is even allegedly prepared to leave if the network becomes anti-Trump.
While Sherman is citing an unnamed “senior source in Fox News,” the claims appear to be reasonable. Several reporters at the network have already taken a public stance against Trump, with Shep Smith’s attack being the most recent example.
If the reports are true, however, and Hannity is ready to walk should things become unbearable at Fox News, this is truly an alarming moment. It means that the network could be splintering and slowly moving to a more liberal outlet.
