Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) just made a huge announcement about quitting, but it’s caught her in yet another case of hypocrisy. The socialist congresswoman has been exposed.
Calling social media a “public health risk” that can lead to “increased isolation, depression, anxiety, addiction, escapism,” Ocasio-Cortez vowed to stop using her private Facebook page and significantly trim her overall use of the platform. That was a lie.
An investigation was launched into Ocasio-Cortez’s political ad spending on Facebook over the last 90 days, and the data revealed a different story: She has spent nearly $500,000 on the popular platform.
The report compiled by The Washington Free Beacon also showed that most of the ads were seeking campaign contributions, even though she doesn’t currently have an opponent. One of her ads tried to spin the fundraising as positive.
The ad said, “At the end of every quarter, almost every political candidate ramps up their fundraising so they can appear as strong as possible. That’s because at the end of the FEC deadline your fundraising total becomes public.”
“The total amount you raise, and the amount of people who donate to you, is a huge indicator of strength for a political movement,” continued the ad, proving she cares more about her “movement” than her own constituents.
