Rudy Giuliani’s planned trip to the Ukraine to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion hoax against President Trump has been canceled.
The last-minute reversal by the President’s personal lawyer came as a result of concerns about the trustworthiness of his contacts.
“I’m not going to go because I think I’m walking into a group of people that are enemies of the President…. in some cases enemies of the United States,” Giuliani said.
“In one case,” he added, “an already convicted person who has been found to be involved in assisting Democrats with the 2016 election.”
Giuilani had also hopped to uncover information about Joe Biden’s son’s involvement in a gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch.
Democrats had condemned Giuliani’s plan as reminiscent of Russia’s collusion with Trump during the 2016 election, though the collusion claim has been debunked after multiple investigations.
