Federal investigators are now looking closely at Rudy Giuliani, the personal lawyer of President Donald Trump, after two of his close associates were arrested and indicted for funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in foreign money in support of Trump.
Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman worked closely with Giuliani, and that close association has pulled Giuliani into the probe of illegal contributions, although no information has yet become available about exactly what investigators are looking for.
Parnas and Fruman were arrested at Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C. They were trying to leave the country on one-way tickets when they were arrested.

The probe is being led by the Southern District of New York.
