Bush Brad Blakeman said Tuesday on the Fox News show Outnumbered that he didn’t see Senate Democrats facing re-election or trying to become the 2020 nominee being willing to vote to impeach President Donald Trump or even preside over a trial when they could be campaigning.
“The Democrats have not thought this completely through,” Blakeman said.
“They’re going to be stuck in the Senate not being able to fundraise. Who’s going to be out there on the road,” he continued. “They’re going to let Joe Biden run the tables in these primary states when they have a duty and obligation to sit there at a trial?”
In states that Trump narrowly won or lost like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, Blakeman predicted that candidates favoring impeachment could take a hit.
What a wonderful world it would be if Democrats’ lies came back to bite them in the ballot box in 2020.
