Fox News just confirmed the rumors. She could be gone forever, and Trump is smiling. The news is spreading nationwide — she never stood a chance.
In the 9 p.m. slot, Sean Hannity has crushed MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow is the second-quarter report on viewership ratings. In fact, Fox News has been the “most-watched cable news network for 40 consecutive quarters.”
The network continues to be a force to be reckoned with, and Hannity is the top name in the game. He has averaged 3.2 million viewers compared to Maddow’s 2.5 million viewers.
The difference of nearly one million viewers for two competing shows in the same time slot cannot be overstated. Maddow certainly has her base of left-wing lunatics, but that’s about it.
There’s no telling what this could mean for her program, however, we can only expect Hannity and the entire prime-time lineup at Fox to earn even more viewers, especially as we head into the 2020 election.
It is also important to note that while MSNBC is struggling, CNN is doing even worse. CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” finished a measly 25th place in the ratings, and no other program on the network cracked the top 25.
