A Fox News bombshell just dropped. President Trump has spoken out and people are wondering if this means ‘goodbye’ — the network could certainly be at a crossroads.
Remarking on the latest Fox News poll showing him losing against four contenders for the Democratic nomination, Trump did not hold back, and his concern for the network’s direction was obvious.
“I don’t know what’s happening with Fox,” he said. “Fox is different. There’s no question about it.” Trump also noted that he doesn’t “believe” the polls, and there’s no reason for him to considering what happened in 2016.
Does this mean Trump is finished with Fox News? No, of course not. He is close allies with the two most popular primetime reporters, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson. He wouldn’t abandon them due to a bad poll.
Trump is merely calling for accountability. Polling data is a snapshot in time and rarely representative, given the ever-changing emotions of an election. He’d be casting skepticism on a CNN or MSNBC poll as well.
Ultimately, Trump wants Fox News to be better than releasing a poll so early before an election. The poll shows him losing to former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Kamala Harris, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren. It is laughable.
