The official story about Jeffrey Epstein’s death is beginning to unravel. A major cover-up could have occurred, and there’s no telling how deep the rabbit hole goes.
CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell tweeted that they’ve “learned corrections officers may have falsified reports that they checked in on Jeffrey Epstein in jail as required by protocol.” She shared a hard-hitting video report about the controversy.
Her CBS News colleague, Mola Lenghi, said in the report that “it appears Epstein had been dead one to two hours before he was found,” which seems to contradict what we’ve been told.
Additionally, Lenghi reported that Epstein’s cellmate posted bail a day before the billionaire’s alleged suicide — leaving Epstein alone for a considerable amount of time.
Demand for accountability continues to increase, and Attorney General William Barr is promising it. He recently noted that the prison had “serious irregularities” and “a thorough investigation” will be conducted.
Already, at the order of Barr, the warden of the prison has been reassigned and is no longer at the facility. Barr also ordered that two guards assigned to Epstein be placed on leave. The investigation is moving forward.
