Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said during an MSNBC gun control forum that she favored more gun control measures, including a federal limit on the number of guns a person can buy.
The 2020 Democrat presidential candidate said she thought a limit would prevent people from “bulking up in the middle of a crisis” and that buying a number of guns at once should in itself be considered a “flag” that deserved further scrutiny.
“Look at some of these folks who’ve gone out and bought a whole lot of guns at once,” Warren said. “I’d kinda like to know about that and say there’s going to be a federal limit on on this.” She admitted that this measure alone would not solve the problem and said she supported other gun control measures as well, although she did not specify what those measures would be.
Gun control is “not a one and done” issue, Warren said, but one that requires numerous laws, regulations, and changes.
Warren has surged in national and state polling as questions about Joe Biden’s fitness for office and involvement in Ukrainian corruption have increased.
