Donald Trump isn’t a fan of Liz Cheney. He’s referred to her as a “warmongering fool” and a “horrible human being.”
So it’s safe to say that Trump and his allies probably weren’t particularly thrilled to learn that Liz Cheney’s reelection campaign for her Wyoming seat in the House of Representatives recently received a boost in the form of a former president.
If you’re guessing it’s probably the president that tabbed Liz’s father as Vice President, then you’d be right.
That’s right. George W. Bush’s loyalty to the Cheney’s has outweighed any responsibility he feels toward Donald Trump, endorsing one of the ten House Republicans that sided with Democrats in voting to impeach Trump.
Needless to say, endorsing somebody that voted to impeach Donald isn’t going to win Bush any points with the Trump clan. One of Trump’s biggest supporters, Matt Gaetz, a Republican from Florida, has already come in hot against Liz Cheney saying the only two things she’s done in congress is “Frustrate the agenda of President Trump and sell out to the forever war machine.”
