Democrat 2020 frontrunner Joe Biden said in a campaign appearance Tuesday that he had an important criterion for his vice presidential pick: he or she would have to be able to be president.
While insisting that he is in “great shape” and works out every day, Biden said his running mate needed to be “capable of being president, because I’m an old guy.”
“I can think of at least eight women, at least four or five people of color, that I think are totally qualified to be vice president of the United States,” Biden said, while not stating which, if any, of them he thought could be president.
Biden said recently that he would like to name former first lady Michelle Obama as his running mate if she would agree to it.
This is honestly the best the Democrats can do to come up with an electable candidate. Why would anyone want to vote Democrat in 2020?
