Ron DeSantis has OFFICIALLY signed the Parental Rights in Education Act into law.
This will give Florida parents the power to know what their young children will be taught in school.
It prohibits the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation for children that are in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, or third grade.
The bill, which does not use the word “gay,” has been referred to as the “Don’t say gay” bill when liberals try to mock it.
It hasn’t worked.
“In Florida, we not only know that parents have a right to be involved, we insist that parents have a right to be involved,” DeSantis claimed.
The bill I signed today protects Florida parents like January Littlejohn. School officials manipulated her daughter to “transition,” calling her a male name & pronouns without January’s knowledge or consent. This is wrong & today’s legislation will ensure it doesn’t happen again. pic.twitter.com/qH4VKUgmkO
