Proving yet again they’re not going to be content until they control every aspect of society, democrats are now trying to remove the great Abraham Lincoln’s contribution to the motto of the VA.
Veterans are the heart and soul of this country, and their contributions need to be highlighted in American history. Instead, we’ve recently been doing just the opposite.
The current VA motto is as follows: “To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s veterans.”
Now, in an effort to remind us that they can rewrite history and tradition in an instant, politicians are pushing legislation that former VA Secretary Robert Wilkie says ““will remove Abraham Lincoln’s words from not only the VA headquarters, but from across VA.”
Wilkie has suggested the group insisting on rewriting the motto is nothing but a “woke mob” that is leading “a wholesale attempt to destroy the meaning of the American epic. If you can rewrite the past, you can control the present, and President Trump was very clear back when Charlottesville hit that the Confederate statues were really the low-hanging fruit, that they weren’t going to stop there, it would be Washington and Jefferson next, and that is exactly what’s happened.”
