For those who’ve been living under a rock, California is facing a September recall of incumbent governor Gavin Newsom.
One man who’s very adamant about wanting his name on the ballot during this recall election is conservative radio host Larry Elder.
However, the powers at be in California don’t seem to eager to let him on the ballot. It was California Secretary of State Shirley Weber who made the decision to exclude Elder from a list of upcoming candidates.
Weber claims it’s because Elder filed incomplete tax returns. Elder insists this is just simply not true, and is launching a lawsuit as a result.
Here’s the statement from the Elder campaign:
The Elder for Governor campaign is seeking immediate legal relief. “I am waging a legal battle to run as the candidate for Californians who are tired of the partisanship and entrenched interests of Sacramento. I fully expect to be on the final certified list of candidates,” said Elder.
