There’s more bad news for Hillary. The House Oversight Committee has opened an investigation into the Uranium One scandal, and at least one lawmaker says the investigation could become a criminal one.
Mainstream media outlets have failed to cover the purchase of American uranium mines by a Russian-backed company — a purchase that required the approval of the State Department, headed up by Hillary Clinton at the time. The evidence shows that Russian investors had not only forged relationships with Bill Clinton, but also made large donations to the Clinton Foundation – before the deal went through.
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), member of the House Oversight Committee, said he has spoken to Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), a former criminal prosecutor and current head of the House Oversight Committee. According to the Florida lawmaker, Gowdy is “supportive” of the efforts to investigate Clinton’s uranium dealings, and expects that the nation will “see action.” The Clintons need to be held accountable. Indict them. (Read More…)
Trump’s Social Security Administration recently announced that for 66 million Americans living on Social Security, benefits will increase by 2 percent in 2018.
This is the largest increase in the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to the program since 2012. Social Security has been on the minds of right-wing economists since at least the administration of former President George W. Bush. President Donald Trump has already made a move to extend the life of this important program.
Trump promises that his “plan will put our Nation’s budget back into balance and begin to reduce the national debt through fiscally conservative principles that respect American taxpayers – all while preserving Social Security and Medicare.”
This is great news considering the previous administration threatened that social security would be affected by the national debt, despite being designed to be funded separately. Trump is making great strides to help improve the economy and protect those who paid into Social Security their entire lives. They deserve nothing less. (Read More…)
Country star Katie Armiger claims she was blacklisted in the country music industry after she made allegations of sexual harassment.
Arminger tells of a Texas radio station DJ grabbing her inappropriately and asking, “When are you going to be legal?” After reporting him, she was informed that if she wanted to be successful, she would have to get over it. A minor at the time, she was told to “be more sexual” to persuade DJ’s and industry insiders to promote her career.
It’s only thanks to brave whistle-blowers like Armiger, Cory Feldman, and the Harvey Weinstein accusers, that the public has learned about the horrors of the entertainment industry. The next step is to combat abusers firsthand — by keeping our pocketbooks closed and showing the entertainment industry that we won’t stand for sexual abuse.
How can this industry in good conscience tolerate this behavior? Sad and disturbing. (Read More…)
We’re learning more about Democrat Representative Frederica Wilson, and it’s not pretty. She has voted against almost every piece of legislation intended to help veterans since she’s been in Congress.
In light of her recent attacks on President Trump and General Kelly, for their condolence calls to military families, this is blatant hypocrisy. If she really cared for the lives of veterans and their families, she would support them even when it didn’t score political points against Trump. If she had voted in support of veterans before, her accusations may have held some credibility, but after years of denying support, she can hardly criticize Trump for the way he shows care for the families of fallen heroes.
For Wilson and most other Democrats, any opportunity to attack President Trump must be exploited — even at the expense of grieving military families. This is just plain wrong and our fallen heroes and their families deserve better. Its time for Wilson’s five minutes of fame to end. (Read More…)
On Saturday, Attorney General Sessions publicly pledged that the Justice Department would form “new relationships” with local law enforcement agencies across the country as part of a larger-scale initiative to reduce crime.
Sessions’ speech comes at a time when violent crime in the U.S. is on the rise. Baltimore, St. Louis, and Detroit have already broken homicide records this year, while Chicago continues to be the epicenter of major gang and gun crime.
This uptick in violent crime, which began during the Obama administration, is worsened by the fact that America’s open border with Mexico allows cartels to supply weapons and copious amounts of cash to their street gang surrogates in American cities.
Attorney General Sessions is right to denounce rising violence, and now that we have an administration and a president that is pro-police, it’s time put a stop to it. (Read More…)
According to the latest reports, the Republican National Committee (RNC) raised more money in the month of September than the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
The difference was significant: the RNC managed to raise $6 million more than their rivals, at $10 million to their mere $4 million. Democrats are hoping to gain seats in the mid-term elections, but at this rate, they’re looking at losing them instead.
It has become clear to many Democratic donors that the party can’t mount a successful campaign against Republicans — especially Trump-like Republicans. Both big and small donors are bailing out. Could this be the end of the Democrat Party? (Watch Here…)
