Former FBI Director James Comey is panicking after a pending indictment was announced. Official charges are about to be handed down, and there’s nothing he can do about it.
Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe — who served under Comey — won’t avoid federal prosecution. His appeal has been rejected by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and he will be indicted soon.
The DOJ said, “The Department rejected your appeal of the United States Attorney’s Office’s decision in this matter. Any further inquiries should be directed to the United States Attorney’s Office.”
According to reports, this notice was sent via email by the DOJ to McCabe’s attorneys. McCabe stands accused of lying to agents about the Hillary Clinton email probe and a Clinton Foundation matter that was still under wraps.
“Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s February 2018 report concluded that McCabe had improperly authorized his subordinates to confirm the existence of an FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation,” noted the Washington Examiner.
McCabe allegedly leaked this information to the Wall Street Journal in order to provide political cover for himself for being too Clinton-friendly. Many are now wondering if Comey will be indicted next.
