A federal court just dealt the Trump administration a stunning blow, reversing a deportation order and rebuking Immigration and Customs Enforcement for their tactics in conducting a raid on a printer cartridge factory.
The story starts out simply enough. ICE agents acquired a search warrant for employment-related documents.
They then proceeded to enter the printer cartridge factory floor and temporarily detain hundreds of workers in the process.
The American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Southern California and attorney Noemi Ramirez claimed that the actions of the agents were not in accordance with the search warrant.
With an ever-growing illegal immigration crisis, and noncompliant city and state governments refusing to follow orders, it’s becoming more and more difficult for ICE to carry out its duties.
This latest ruling certainly doesn’t help.
