On August 11, Anderson Cooper essentially said that Senator Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, got what he deserved when his YouTube account was suspended.
According to Cooper, this was because Rand was spreading misinformation about COVID, “Tonight, baseless claims about COVID by two members of Congress are catching up with them, at least to a point. Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s YouTube channel is suspended for a week after his account posted a video claiming masks are not effective. That punishment came Tuesday, the same day that Twitter suspended Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for what it labeled a misleading tweet.”
Minutes later, he interviewed former advisor to President Joe Biden Dr. Michael Osterholm, who said that many cloth face coverings aren’t particularly effective.
As a matter of fact, Osterholm said that right on CNN, back on August 2.
Obviously not wanting to expose his own hypocrisy, Cooper didn’t bring up Osterholm’s previous claims.
