Former FBI Director James Comey is in trouble. A high-ranking Republican just released a notice that could lead to Comey’s indictment.
Appearing on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX), referring to Comey, said that “many of us believe that he either is or should be under investigation for violating the espionage act.”
While Ratcliffe could not confirm with certainty that Comey was currently under investigation, the fact that members of Congress think he is tells a fascinating story in and of itself.
Members such as Radcliffe clearly know things we do not and, with Attorney General William Barr’s recent appointment of a U.S. attorney to investigate the Trump-Russia probe, Comey should be worried.
John Durham, the U.S. attorney selected by Barr, has been described as a “hard-charging, bulldog” prosecutor. Could he be investigating Comey already?
