Hillary Clinton and daughter Chelsea are planning to launch a “feminist production company” to make films and television series focused around women and their stories, Bloomburg reported.
The Clintons are considering a number of business ideas now that Hillary, 71, is out of politics. Barack and Michelle Obama already have a production company, Higher Ground Productions, that has a contract with Netflix to produce content.
Democrats already dominate the media, with conservatives being increasingly rare in Hollywood and even rarer in mainstream journalistic circles. While there may still be a few people in the U.S. who care what Hillary Clinton thinks, it will be interesting to see whether she can develop enough of a following to make money with a production company.
Her old friend Harvey Weinstein can’t really help her out anymore. There are many in Hollywood who donated to her campaign, however, so she may get some support from old friends like Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Jeff Katzenburg to get her going. Although they already do a much better job of pushing the Democrat agenda than Hillary could probably ever do.
