Juanita Broaddrick, who accused former President Bill Clinton of rape, offered her perspective on where the unsubstantiated allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh are coming from.
Broaddrick responded to a tweet by Geraldo Rivera asking whether it is really appropriate to hold people accountable now for their actions decades ago when they were young. “How much time must pass before distant–hazily or inaccurately recalled events–should still have the power to disqualify or destroy?” Rivera said.
“This has nothing to do with faux allegations against Kavanaugh. The man is innocent and they know it,” Broaddrick replied. “As I said a few days ago………THIS is about Ginsburg.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was recently treated for pancreatic cancer for a third time and has appeared healthy in several recent appearanced. She has not been declared cancer free, however.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate would fill any Supreme Court vacancy that comes up prior to the 2020 election.
