Country legend Charlie Daniels says all new music is the same and he doesn’t like it. His fans probably feel the same way.
And they let him know they supported him during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.”
Fox News reports:
“Evidently, the veteran hitmaker isn’t a huge fan of some of the newer artists on the scene. Host Brian Kilmeade asked if Daniels was “OK” with country bands like Florida Georgia Line changing the sound of country, to which the musician firmly responded “no” to cheers from the crowd.”
Country music has “evolved” from what most people recognize as country music, to country-rap and other terrible combinations.
Country music is supposed to be representative of ordinary Americans and their struggles and triumphs in flyover country, so it’s easy to see why it is being changed.
The bastardization of country music must be satisfying for progressives and the political elite. But for Daniels and legions of country fans, the old stuff is still the best.
