Congressman Adam Schiff of California, a vocal critic of President Trump and supporter of the sham Russia investigation, has a stern warning for special counsel Robert Mueller. It doesn’t look good.
In an interview on ‘Meet the Press,’ Schiff strongly suggested that Mueller wasn’t doing enough to go after Trump and his campaign allies. Schiff wants Trump’s personal finances and business dealings aggressively investigated, something Trump has rightly denounced as crossing a “red line”.
“So that’s what concerns me,” said Schiff, “that that red line has been enforced, whether by the deputy attorney general [Rod Rosenstein] or by some other party at the Justice Department. But that leaves the country exposed.”
It is obvious what’s going on here: Democrats are nervous. Mueller’s investigation, for all of its bluster and coverage in the mainstream media, hasn’t yielded a single smoking gun tying the Trump campaign to Russia. There has been no “collusion” found. So, in a last-ditch effort, Schiff and fellow Democrats are grasping at whatever they can to hang on. It’s a sad spectacle that will all be over soon.
