The Afghan Ambassador to the U.S. Adela Raz said in an interview on Axios on HBO that she didn’t think President Joe Biden cared about the fate of women who were left behind under Taliban rule when the U.S. military pulled out of the country.
Raz said she also felt guilty about working to persuade the women that the country had a future for women.
One of the women she persuaded to stay before the Taliban takeover has since been assassinated, she said.
Raz still flies the former Afghanistan flag and said she is an exile from the country, because she won’t deal with the Taliban.
She also faulted exiled president Ashraf Ghani and his top officials for fleeing the country in secrecy as the Taliban approached.
