Joe Biden’s campaign is bound and determined not to allow President Donald Trump to declare victory in the presidential race on election night, no matter what happens in the race.
The campaign reacted to a Sunday report that Trump plans to declare victory if he wins east coast battleground states, Florida, North Carolina and Georgia, but Trump said that was a “false report.”
Even so, Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon declared, “Under no scenario will Donald Trump be declared a victor on election night.”
Trump is ready for Democrats to try to cheat their way to victory, however. “We’re going in the night of. As soon as the election is over, we’re going in with our lawyers,” Trump said.
Dillon insists that Biden has more of a path to 270 electoral votes than Trump does, but she is relying on polls that have become very suspect in the final days of the campaign.
