The scheduled moderator of the now-canceled second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is claiming his Twitter account was hacked after a tweet to Trump enemy Anthony Scaramucci showed up on Thursday.
“@Scaramucci should I respond to Trump?” was posted by Steve Scully’s account on Thursday, but Scully would like us to believe he didn’t post it.
“Steve Scully did not originate the tweet and believes his account has been hacked,” C-SPAN wrote in a statement on Friday.
Certainly, the truth of Scully’s allegations can be proven. If he was really hacked, I want to see the evidence.
Scully has his defenders, like former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer, but after it was revealed that he interned for Joe Biden in 1978, he certainly seems like the type of secret partisan hack who would tweet a tweet like that.
