Tucker Carlson said Wednesday that the guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial indicates mob rule, because it signifies the American people paying a “ransom” to the left, BLM and assorted groups like it.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) telling people to be violent if they didn’t get “justice” and people threatening a defense witness are two factors in people’s reactions, Carlson said.
But Carlson said it was a mistake to pay the ransom, because the people holding America for ransom were just going to keep demanding more.
“A wise country stands on its principles,” he said. “It puts down mobs. It does not obey mobs. Mobs are never sated. It doesn’t matter what demands you follow, they demand more.”
He pointed out that in areas that have had BLM protests since 2014, murders are way up due to a reduced police presence. This is the result of BLM involvement and leaders’ responses to it.
