Fox News superstar Tucker Carlson just issued a major announcement on national television. He has stunned millions of viewers with a ‘goodbye’ notice, but it isn’t about him.
“At this point, given what we know — Comey ought to be groveling for forgiveness from the rest of us — he ought to be relocating to Paraguay in shame actually,” said Carlson on former FBI Director James Comey.
Carlson was commenting on his show about Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s newly-released report detailing the FBI’s blatant abuses against the Trump campaign in 2016.
He went on to regret that Comey likely isn’t going anywhere. “But of course, he is not,” said Carlson. “Comey isn’t embarrassed at all. In fact, he’s more self-righteous than ever.”
This is another sticking point that Americans have noticed: Comey has repeatedly acted like he is above the law while claiming to be a defender of it. But you can’t have it both ways.
As Attorney General William Barr and his appointee, U.S. Attorney John Durham, continue their investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia “collusion” probe, Comey may want to lawyer up.
