Fox News’ most popular host, Tucker Carlson, just exposed a stunning murder story. The network is reeling and liberals are aiming for him.
“George Floyd’s death was sad,” said Carlson. “Every death is sad, as we often point out. But the question is, was it murder?” He also asked, much to the chagrin of the left, “But will Chauvin have a fair trial?”
These are both important questions, according to Carlson. Former police officer Derek Chauvin has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Floyd, and it is crucial that he get a fair trial.
Every individual in the United States deserves a fair trial — it is part of our system of government. Regardless of your charge or public outrage, every person is constitutionally entitled to a fair trial.
So we must ask again: Will Chauvin get one? Carlson is skeptical. “Hundreds of activists, some dressed in all black have been staring down National Guard troops outside the courthouse in Minneapolis all week,” he noted.
All of the outside political pressure — which has hit a fever pitch — could very well influence the verdict, whether it is lawfully acceptable or not. Floyd’s death was a tragedy and we should not heap another tragedy on top of it.
